“Skopelos Dreams Prints”, 2017.  These monoprints were created at a residency on the island of Skopelos, Greece, where the sun is incredibly bright and the water seems to be made of every shade of blue and green that can be imagined. The sintra and woodblock plates were generated from sketches of the water currents and swirling clouds; the plates were inked and printed on Rives BFK, using the etching press at the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts. Some are reduction prints; others are created by using two separate plates. Each captures moments in which the skies and the seas seem to exist in this visual play of light and sparkle and movement.
